As a motivational speaker and a life coach, I’ve always shared with my audiences that who we are is the sum total of the small, minuscule, seemingly insignificant daily choices and habits. And in order to design a different life, we must start by changing our habits.
According to the research highlighted in this infographic, if you set goals (written and shared with others), read voraciously and diversely; think about thinking; be self disciplined and get proper sleep, you would be following the footsteps (or rather the habits) of the most successful people ever.
But what you also need is the motivation and commitment to stay away from the pitfalls that intelligent people tend to fall in. Here they are – Excessive drinks, drugs and anxiety.
Use this list as a starting point and then create one of your own too. After all, as Carl Jung put, “The shoe that fits one person pinches another. There is no universal recipe for living.”
